Vision Restored in UK's Youngest Corneal Transplant Patient

A baby who was born blind has been given her sight back after becoming the youngest person in the UK to receive a corneal transplant.

Eva Joyce was operated on when she was just two weeks old and despite needing hourly eye drops ever since she is now a healthy 4 month old baby.

She was operated on at the Birmingham Children's Hospital.

Insight’s Leeanne Coyle spoke to Consultant Ophthalmologist, Manoj Parulekar who, along with a team of experts, gave Eva her sight back
