Tim Gould

1983 was when it all began with the arrival of TimBo, it was not known just what he had in store for the world let alone his poor parents.

He quickly grew a huge passion for music and radio even within the first few days of his life. As time went on and he got older, his musical tastes (some may say lack of) developed and he acquired many different types of playing devices including: fisher price cassettes, ghetto blasters, 7inch record decks and walkmans.

1995 was the year that TimBo got into dance music and underground garage finding inspiration from DJ’s around the time including Pete Tong, TuffJam etc, as well as radio presenters like Chris Tarrant and Neil ‘Dr’ Fox from London’s Capital Radio.

Once TimBo finally landed his hands on professional DJ equipment in the early 00’s that’s when he began the gruelling task of becoming good (or so he thinks). He attended a music technology course at his local college where he was fortunate to broadcast on newly set up Blast 1386.

Many different genres have come and gone but TimBo’s passion for new and exclusive music still remains.

“I am fortunate to broadcast on a few different stations in the UK that are on FM, SKY, Freesat and Online, despite my visual impairment I will not let it stop me and with many developments in technology if you want a similar career then you shouldn’t either.”

Join me every Friday from 7pm and Saturday from 6pm here on Insight Radio.
