The author Neville Bartlett was formerly a lecturer in Economic History at the University of Aberdeen, where his research included the British carpet making industry and the Scottish paper making industry. He retired to Northallerton in North Yorkshire in 1986 and during this time he worked in conjunction with his local newspaper giving talks to blind and partially sighted listeners that were sent out on tape. In 2003, these talks were published as Six Minute History Tours. You can read more at the website, The Last Bartlett. Return to the Talking Books Main Page |
